Could anyone provide a calculation tool or a simplified formula for the maximum allowable load on the pipe connections on a container? Thank you! ! !
Are you referring to the external loads exerted on the nozzles on the container? In calculations such as SW6 and ASME, external loads are taken into account, which are categorized into axial loads, radial loads, and the corresponding moments ; We previously calculated the external loads on the container pipelines using SW6; it should be emphasized that this calculation was done under the local load category in SW6’s component calculation system.

Is the average of the three correct? If it’s averaged out, then it’s simple – it just involves adding up the values, similar to how external pressures are calculated. I’ve seen external loads provided by others before, and I’ve never encountered three values that are equal to each other.

I’m not aware of the specific calculation methods; those in charge of equipment simply use the forces specified by the piping team to calculate the local stresses in the housings according to WRC107
