I’m not sure if anyone has come across cylinders containing mixed gases. I want to know how it’s possible to ensure that the gas coming out of such cylinders is uniform, when different gases are mixed together in them (for example, 10% hydrogen sulfide and 90% nitrogen) ? I would appreciate it if an expert could help answer this question. Thank you! !

Did you purchase this gas cylinder from outside? How far is it from the place of purchase to where you will use it? If the distance isn’t far enough, ask the truck driver to take a less busy road; after some bumpy driving, the mixture will become uniform quickly and easily, so there’s no need for the original poster to worry. Especially H2S and N2, which have similar molecular weights, are more likely to mix evenly.
Reply to 1# liao840713: For gas mixing, it depends on the number of gas cylinders you need to mix. If there are quite a few, you might consider purchasing a shaker bottle. It can reduce physical labor; if the amount is small, the gas cylinder can be placed on the ground and pushed with the feet, allowing it to roll around on the ground for a while. Another thing is that if you don’t need to use it right away, you can simply lay the gas cylinder on the ground; that will be fine after a few days.
None of those upstairs have obtained a pressure vessel operation certificate, hahaha. Just kidding, but I’m wondering how gas suppliers can ensure that the gas in my mixed gas cylinders is uniform.
