Experience with calibrating E+H cable-guided wave radar: The empty tank shows around 20%, and this remains the case even after normal calibration! Select menu 09 to reset and calibrate again; the tank height is 6.5 m, LN=5.6 m, E=5.4 m, F=5.2 m. The display shows D+L=4.6 m+0.6 m. Choosing mapping=5.2 m still doesn’t work! It shows D+L=4.6m+0.6m; go to menu 03 and select \"Truncated\". LN=5.6m, the probe does not cover the entire area – OK!

The tank height is 6.5 M; the cable length is 5.6 m, the empty tank height is 5.4 m, and the full tank height is 5.2 M. Based on these figures, the instrument should indicate a height of 5.2 M. If 20% is shown, it is possible to adjust the reading directly to the desired height while the tank is empty, within the suppression range. If suppression still isn’t possible, check whether the lower end of the cable is grounded. It is recommended to use the E+H calibration software, as it provides a very clear echo curve, which makes it easier to identify where the instrument malfunction lies!
