Following the advice of the experts on this forum, I was finally able to install AutoCAD Plant 3D 2011 in Simplified Chinese on a Lenovo Y460 with Windows 7 64-bit. It’s a small celebration. First: Download the trial version from Autodesk’s official website. You need to fill out a bunch of forms first; well, you can fill them in arbitrarily – there’s no need to use real information. I guess they’re just looking for potential customers in order to make sales. When downloading, choose 32-bit or 64-bit depending on your system. The download is slow; it takes about two to three hours. What is downloaded is a self-extracting archive; it is 2.6 G for the 32-bit version and 2.8 G for the 64-bit version. Then: unzip and install. It’s important to note that when unzipping, a path will be displayed, which indicates the folder where the files will be stored. I do not recommend storing them on the C drive; it’s better to use another drive that is not part of the system drives. The decompression time is also relatively long, so it doesn’t delay coffee brewing at all. Then: Install. Once extraction is complete, the installer will start automatically; it is installed by default on Drive C. Just click along the way. I didn’t choose to download the server pack online; I went with the default installation. The installation time isn’t that long. Then: after installation, it’s time to run the program and register it. The registration tool for acad2011 downloaded from the Internet works well; only the product code needs to be changed to “426c1”. Run Plant3D; upon startup, a registration screen will appear. Select \"Activate\" instead of \"Trial\", and then a dialog box will appear asking for the serial number and product code. Enter 111-11111111 as the serial number, and 426c1 as the product code. After that, an application number will be displayed. It should be noted that there might also be a screen asking you to register online; ignore it and just go back. Run the registration machine and register it using the same registration method as in CAD. There’s an article on the forum with illustrated explanations; it’s very good. If it doesn’t work on the first try, try a few more times. After successful registration, it starts running right away; haha, well, the basic platform is now set up. Trying to run it works fine; it operates properly. I'm glad. On my previous \"high-end\" computer, the 64-bit versions of acad2010, 2011, and 2009 would not run properly; they would just keep spinning endlessly, and clicking on the screen would result in a message stating that the Acad application was unresponsive. I really failed. I’m just glad that this thing can run now. After the celebration, haha, there are still issues left, namely the problem with the national standard GB library. Download the GB library from the official website and copy it in as instructed. I’m learning *how to use it*. It seems like this tool shouldn’t be difficult to learn, and its efficiency should be higher than that of 2D CAD – after all, there’s no need to draw axonometric diagrams or similar things. It also allows for the tracking of materials used; wow, what a great tool. I just don’t know when I’ll be able to master it.
