There is generally no requirement regarding the length of the pipes, but those with design experience will take into account the properties of the material when determining the pipe length. For example, when transporting powders, flange connections should be used, and the pipes should not be too long to facilitate disassembly and inspection in case of blockages.
Next, let’s talk about what’s on the upper level. If you want to show the welds on the diagram, ordinary pipes are 10 meters long; some are 12 meters long as well. Many large-diameter pipes are 6 meters long. Another point is that, in accordance with GB50235, circumferential welds are required to be formed over the shortest distance, and this should also be taken into account when drawing piping diagrams.
There is no strict requirement for this; for fixed-length pipes such as those with a steel lining and polyethylene coating, there are certain requirements when installing such pipes, right?
For lined pipes, it is necessary to consult the manufacturer. In the case of high-pressure pipes, it is better to have as few welds as possible, as blockages or crystallization of materials can occur; in such situations, considering the use of slopes is advisable.
It is usually 6 meters per section; this is determined by transportation constraints, as longer lengths cannot be transported by vehicle.
