The twin-screw pump has two NJ-type bearings at the synchronous gear end; theoretically, it is subjected only to radial forces. But the original design used NJ-type bearings; can I replace them with NU-type bearings? ~
It can be replaced; the design of this pump is quite old. The bearing at the position you mentioned is referred to as the rear bearing in pump design.
