I’m not an expert in storage and transportation engineering. Since I need to prepare an environmental impact assessment related to the petrochemical industry, I have a few questions I’d like to ask those who are more knowledgeable in this field. 1. What types of substances are generally stored in low-pressure tanks and high-pressure tanks respectively? 2. When storing butadiene, should it be stored in high-pressure or low-pressure tanks? 3. Is there any difference in the rate of breathing loss between horizontal fixed-roof tanks and vertical fixed-roof tanks? Thank you very much~~:)
1. What types of substances are generally stored in low-pressure tanks and high-pressure tanks respectively? As per the regulations regarding pressure vessels, I believe the threshold is 0.1 MPa and 6 KP; these divide storage into high-pressure, low-pressure, and atmospheric pressure categories respectively. 2. Are the pressure tanks used for storing butadiene high-pressure or low-pressure? They are considered high-pressure vessels, and spherical tanks are recommended for use. 3. Is there any difference in the magnitude of breathing losses between horizontal fixed-roof tanks and vertical fixed-roof tanks? I haven’t seen horizontal fixed-roof tanks; are you sure such a type of tank exists?
