Specifically, it is a 2/5-way solenoid valve used with compressed air. I’m not very familiar with the solenoid valves of sea dragons. . With power applied, the solenoid coil operates, but the air path remains unchanged. . The manufacturer said it is intrinsically safe and that a safety barrier is required, but even after installing the safety barrier, it still doesn’t function. . I don’t know what the reason is. . So I’m looking for a pneumatic circuit diagram of a sea dragon to see how it works.
The solenoid valves for sea mounts seem to be quite large in size. Could it be that the safety barrier is not capable of handling no-load conditions? In the case of used valves, it might be due to foreign objects contaminating the valve core, which prevents proper operation. Under normal circumstances, the valve core should make a clear and loud clicking sound when it moves, and one can clearly feel the entire valve body vibrating when touching it, especially with such large solenoid valves.
After connecting the safety barrier, the valve body experienced noticeable vibration, but the gas flow path did not change; it was not possible to observe the movement of the valve stem inside the solenoid valve on site, and the cause is unknown.
