I have been engaged in research and design work in this field for over two years. It seems that no projects of this kind have been initiated in China, while abroad, carbon dioxide is used for oil displacement already for nearly 40 years. I hope that there can be cooperation in this area
It started in China at the beginning of this century, and there are also many applications. CNPC has the Daqing Oil Field and Jilin Oil Field, while Sinopec has the Shengli Oil Field and its Northeastern Branch.

Reply to 5# yf2001: At present, both the Jilin Oilfield and the Daqing Oilfield have small-scale projects for using carbon dioxide in oil extraction. Abroad, industrial-scale application of this method began back in 1972. Carbon dioxide injection is suitable for oilfields where traditional extraction methods cannot effectively increase oil recovery rates, and where there are suitable sources of carbon dioxide that can be delivered to the oilfield for use in extraction. The method of transporting carbon dioxide, as well as the characteristics of the oilfield reservoir, determine the requirements regarding the composition of the carbon dioxide used. On an industrial scale, carbon dioxide is usually transported through pipelines, and there are specific requirements regarding moisture and other gases such as N2, methane, H2S, and O2. The pressure required for transporting carbon dioxide, as well as the injection pressure, are also influenced by the characteristics of the reservoir. In oilfields where mixed-phase extraction is possible, the MMP, or minimum miscible pressure, represents the minimum pressure required at the bottom of the injection wells. In response to 7# yf2001 regarding the specifications for dicyano carbon, these are determined mainly based on considerations of energy consumption and transportation safety; currently, no standardized document exists abroad on this topic. Consider it based on the specifics of your project. 99% can basically be considered pure carbon dioxide, and for oil displacement projects, such a high level of purity isn’t necessarily required; the higher the purity, the higher the cost of capture as well

Testing was initiated earlier at the Daqing Oilfield, but it was not carried out on a large scale; The Jilin oil field was developed relatively late, has now reached a certain scale, and may benefit from **scientific research funding support. Regarding the surface gas injection process, the technology is relatively mature, but there are many issues with the collection, transportation, and processing of the produced fluids. Experimental research on the surface gathering and transportation processes for CO2 flooding in the Daqing Oil Field has essentially come to a halt, while the Jilin Oil Field manages to operate with the support of financial resources; to be honest, no effective solution has been found, and the research on these processes has not been very successful. Reply to 9# doe_luwei: Regarding the surface transportation of CO2-based oil displacement products as well as the treatment of oil and gas waters, foreign countries already have relatively mature experience in these areas. For prefabricated buildings, look up more information from abroad; don’t rely solely on the limited amount of information available domestically. Moreover, some of the papers published domestically may not be genuine.
