Is there a difference in flow capacity between a triple-eccentric butterfly valve and a single-plate gate valve of the same diameter? I need to replace three eccentric butterfly valves (DN400 and DN500). I’m not quite sure about the resistance and flow capacity of these valves when they are fully open; could you give me some advice? Thank you ~~
When a butterfly valve is fully open, the butterfly disc still blocks the flow, so its flow capacity should be lower than that of a gate valve.
