The furnace drying process cannot be carried out casually; the lining supplier should provide a drying plan that covers various aspects such as whether to use a furnace dryer, the heating curve, the fuel used for drying, and the layout of the hot air ducts after drying. The quality of this drying process has a significant impact on the performance of the lining. It’s not based on guesswork. Generally, the temperature is raised to 110°C in the first stage; after holding it at this temperature for a while, it is increased to 350°C. Once again, after holding it at that temperature, if there is a high-temperature oven available, the temperature is raised to 510°C and held there; if no such oven is available, the temperature is raised to the operating temperature and then lowered again. The specific heating and cooling rates, the holding temperature, and the holding time all depend on the specifications provided by the material supplier.
