When should the reverse flushing of the turbine casing and the reverse flushing of the balance pipe be initiated? Is it sufficient to use only the reverse flushing of the balance pipe during startup and shutdown? This is a back-pressure type system
It should be turned on during low-speed warm-up, as well as when the machine is running at low speed before shutdown.
The balance pipe is connected to the backpressure pipe; drain the condensate water after shutting down the machine, and close it before starting up, otherwise it may cause cold air or water to flow into the machine, leading to severe vibrations and sudden shutdowns
