What is the required oil content in instrument air? Are there detailed explanations or standards in those materials?
Instrument air comes from molecular sieves and should be a dry and clean gas source. Oil is completely prohibited in air separation towers; even the oil content in the total circulating water is less than 0.5 mg per liter. Additionally, the sealing air for expanders also comes from instrument air, and I believe that if it contains oil, it should be measured in PPM
Where can I find the standards? Could you tell me how to locate them?
In US and Australian standards, it is less than 0.5. No cases have been found domestically.
