The particle size of calcium carbide fed into the generator ranges from 50 to 80 millimeters; how can uniformity of particle size be ensured?
After crushing, adding screening will do; however, usually choosing the right crusher will meet the requirements
The crusher should be adjustable; if it can’t be adjusted, a simple sieve can be used for screening
That sieve doesn’t work well; many manufacturers have stopped using it. To ensure this is possible: conduct inspections every hour to maintain the desired particle size, and make adjustments to the crushing process promptly once any issues are detected ； A 80-square-meter net was placed at the inlet of the silo, and an iron plate was used to enclose it; when it was found that material was leaking out, feeding was stopped. There should be surveillance here.
Crushers are divided into coarse and fine crushers; by adjusting the jaws of the crusher, the particle size can be adjusted to 50–80 mm.
I wonder if your facility offers secondary crushing! If so, the particle size can be guaranteed; simply add a vibrating screen before the secondary crushing. Those with the appropriate particle size pass straight through the vibrating screen, while those that do not meet the standards go into a secondary crusher. This is how we do it in our facility, and it works well.
