For crushing, ball mills are used; wet fluorite powder is transported by belt conveyors, while dry fluorite powder, which is usually at a higher temperature, is transported using screw conveyors.

The production of anhydrous hydrogen fluoride involves purchasing fluorite powder directly; it comes in dry and wet forms, with only differences in moisture content. However, before entering the reaction system, it is dried again; a regular drying furnace will suffice for this purpose – a drum-type furnace in which hot air enters from one end while the wet fluorite powder enters from the other end, allowing for drying in the opposite direction.
