Tower flooding phenomenon: When tower flooding occurs, the distillation efficiency within the tower deteriorates, disrupting normal mass and heat transfer. As a result, the temperature and pressure at the top of the tower, as well as the temperatures at the side product outlets and the reflux temperature, all increase. Meanwhile, the liquid level at the bottom of the tower drops suddenly, and the color of the distilled oil turns darker. Submerging the tower causes the temperature at the top of the tower to drop, the liquid level in the reflux tank to fall, while the liquid level and pressure at the bottom of the tower increase. What I want to ask is: in both cases the basic situation is that the flow of liquid is hindered, with liquid filling the space between the two trays. What makes the phenomena different? The most notable difference is that one case results in an increase in the liquid level at the bottom of the tower, while the other leads to a decrease in it

The original poster doesn’t even know the definitions of “storming a tower” and “submerging a tower”; take a look at the definitions
The concepts of tower flooding and tower submersion are different; tower flooding occurs when there is an excess of vapor phase, while tower submersion occurs when there is an excess of liquid phase.
The backflow of content is too high, resulting in an imbalance in the load across the entire tower; the pressure in the middle section rises sharply, which leads to an excessively low temperature for the overhead extraction, water being carried to the top of the tower, and serious issues with diesel contamination...
