Second question: It might be that the vacuum level in the solvent regeneration system is not sufficient; the pressure can be increased using a vacuum pump to raise the vacuum level.
Reply to 1# Tenglong Aromatics: For the first issue, it should be the gas-liquid phase load of the distillation column; if the pressure difference is high, the solvent may foam. For the second issue, it could be an incorrect liquid level reading by the instruments, or the liquid level might be such that it submerges the reboiler, or the amount of stripping steam used is too low. As for the third issue, it is intended to ensure the purity of toluene in the lower section; that’s my opinion
Benzene and toluene are difficult to separate; even a slight change in temperature renders the separation accuracy insufficient, so it is necessary to control the base temperature using a temperature difference from the sensitive plate.
