Stainless steel can hold up for a while, while carbon steel is not suitable because free SO3 is highly corrosive to carbon steel. If the acid temperature is below 60 degrees, it is recommended to use tanks lined with plastic, provided that the tank size is not too large. For larger storage capacities, stainless steel is still the better choice

In industry, 105 nicotinic acid is mainly processed using carbon steel; stainless steel is not much better than carbon steel for use in 105. For storage tanks that require attention, if they are not used for an extended period or if the liquid level remains constant, it is possible for a small amount of acid at the gas-liquid interface at that level to absorb moisture and turn into dilute acid, thereby causing corrosion. Additionally, it was mentioned upstairs that steel-lined with plastic should be used. Note that due to the high water absorption and oxidizing properties of 105%, only steel-lined with PTFE can be used; other materials such as PO, PE, PVC, etc., will cause the plastic part to burn.
