For water-ring vacuum compressors, is there a requirement regarding the amount of water used? If so, what should be the position of the water within the pump chamber in order for the pump to operate at its optimal level?

The water level should be the same as that in the water vapor separation tank; it is automatically controlled by a control valve, with additional water being added automatically when the level drops.
