I’m new to learning pipe fitting, and I don’t know where to start. Please help me
Understand process knowledge, know the materials, grasp the piping principles; it’s best to have a mentor guiding you, and by putting in extra effort, you can learn well
1. Be familiar with fluid transportation knowledge and master calculation methods proficiently; 2. Have a thorough grasp of piping regulations and standards ; 3. Understand process and instrumentation knowledge.
It’s best to have an experienced person to work on the project with, but it ultimately depends on how dedicated one is oneself.
I’m a beginner too and need some guidance.

Going through projects is the best way to learn, and it presents great opportunities. With a patient, knowledgeable mentor who is willing to teach you, plus your own willingness to make efforts, I believe you will surely become one of the best in this industry. Everything is difficult at the beginning; based on my own experience, mastering piping work is not something that can be achieved in just a few days or months. In my opinion, one should at least do the following: 1. Master the relevant design, construction, and inspection standards. 2. Understand relevant professional knowledge, such as general layout, architecture, structure, electrical systems, instrumentation, etc., so as to be able to draw connections between different areas. 3. Master some fundamental disciplines such as fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and principles of chemical engineering. 4. Be familiar with the basic knowledge of pipelines, including how to select materials, hydraulic calculations, the selection of supports and hangers, calculations for pipe diameter and wall thickness, stress calculations, and so on. 5. Be good at summarizing, be skeptical and inquisitive, and keep accumulating knowledge. . . . . For beginners, it’s best to find a complete set of drawings and learn by asking questions – that’s a good approach.
Draw, and ask more questions as you draw, while also thinking things through on your own. . .
