There are no standard regulations; generally, it is controlled according to the turbine manual provided by the manufacturer
Before starting up the turbines in our factory, the oil temperature is required to be between 35 and 42 degrees. This requirement is quite strict; due to the high speed of the turbines, the viscosity of the oil is greatly affected by temperature. Therefore, to ensure a reliable lubrication through an oil film, it is necessary to maintain this oil temperature
They’re more or less the same; in my company, values between 33 and 45 are acceptable for conversion, though 37 would be ideal. Some clues can be found in API614, but it isn’t specified clearly; it’s related to the machine, and it’s definitely between 30 and 50. JBT6764 are the technical specifications for general industrial steam turbines; I hope it will be helpful to you.
