I would like to ask fellow users whether there is a pump that can create a vacuum at the inlet and apply pressure to gases at the outlet; the gas in question is toxic and corrosive, so a diaphragm pump would be ideal. The gas flow rate is around 5 NM3/H. Whoever is aware of this, please recommend it. Thank you!
This post was last edited by pump-fans on 2011-5-14 12:11. You’ve already chosen the diaphragm pump – what else do you need to choose? :) It is recommended that you use a jet pump; for the working water used in conjunction with it, you can opt for a canned pump.
Reply to 2# pump-fans: The problem is that I couldn’t find a suitable diaphragm pump; diaphragm pumps are generally used for pumping liquids, while what I need is for handling gases. And also pull while pressing. What material should be used for jet pumps? It needs to be corrosion-resistant

Reason #5 for not recommending a water ring vacuum pump for you is the cost of the materials involved as well as the requirement that there be no leaks Personally, I think a jet pump combined with a shielded pump would be the most ideal choice for such applications. Of course, all this is based on the limited information you have provided; if possible, you could share all the relevant parameters so that we can discuss it further. . . Reply to 1# 03401525: The overcurrent components of the pump should be corrosion-resistant; a PTFE diaphragm is an excellent choice
I’m not sure if you’ve heard of Shurflo: http://www.shurflo.com/. It’s an American brand that specializes in manufacturing pumps. The diaphragm pump you mentioned is one I’m currently using to filter tap water; however, it’s a bit expensive – 400 dollars for a model with 12V power, 9A current, and a flow rate of 1.4 gpm.
