I have a question for the experts here: why must the installation location of the pressure measurement point be higher than that of the transmitter when measuring steam pressure?
The pressure tap is filled with condensate to protect the transmitter; the gas in the tube returns to the process pipeline

In the self-control installation diagrams, there are diagrams showing connections where the steam transmitter is above the pressure tapping point, as well as connections where the transmitter is below the pressure tapping point. You'll understand once you see it.
The installation location of the pressure tapping point for measuring steam pressure is placed above that of the transmitter; this is done so that the steam condensate in the pressure conduit fills it, providing insulation and protecting the transmitter~~~

When measuring the pressure of gaseous media, the transmitter should be installed at a higher position than the pressure sampling point; when measuring the pressure of liquids or vapors, the transmitter should be installed at a lower position than the pressure sampling point. This is done to reduce the need for additional devices for venting gas or liquid.
