Today, a Rosemount pressure transmitter of mine suddenly reached its maximum value, which caused an interlock shutdown and led to significant losses. Has anyone encountered such a situation? Moreover, the pressure transmitter in question was just installed not long ago – it has only been in use for a few months.

Break down the system for verification to determine whether it is a transmitter fault or a leak in the pressure guide tube on the negative pressure side.
It’s a single-flange pressure transmitter, and the actual pressure hasn’t increased. I’m posting this just to ask why Rosmont’s instruments would suddenly exhibit such behavior – why would this happen after less than half a year? Is it a quality issue?

Reply to 5# ksme200811: First, check the data sheet of the flanged voltage transformer of the model you have chosen to see whether the temperature meets the requirements of the operating conditions. I have encountered situations where, under high-temperature conditions, the flange diaphragm box was damaged, resulting in linear variations. It is recommended to first check the data sheet, then remove it to inspect whether the diaphragm box is deformed and whether its elasticity is good, and finally conduct a pressure test to check its linearity.
