With such strict environmental regulations these days, how can we ensure the proper disposal of waste residues?
It depends on your manufacturing process; here we only have iron slag, which is sent to brick factories to be used in making bricks. . The other valuable metal residues are being stored for use in the development of new products in the future
Can’t the iron in iron slag be recycled?
After pickling, the washing solution is used as a raw material! Waste residue sent to the cement plant!
What is the process by which the cobalt slag is produced? Have its components been analyzed?
In the slags resulting from the wet method of cobalt production, there are generally three types of slags. One of them is the leaching slag, which contains a high amount of silicon and is usually not usable; after washing, it is sent to cement plants or brick factories. The second type is iron slag; after being fired, it can be utilized or sold to steel mills. The third type is calcium-magnesium slag, whose main components are calcium fluoride and magnesium fluoride; it can be sent to fluorine factories where it can be recycled. But nowadays, many factories discard these three types of waste in large quantities; they are not utilized much, which has a significant impact on the environment. Our company produces cobalt salts using white alloys, with virtually no waste residue generated.
