Canadian company Willan acquired 70% of the shares in Italian company ABV ENERGY S.P.A. ABV Company is engaged in the manufacturing of industrial valves, actuators, and control systems, with its products primarily intended for the energy industry market. The Marianetti family will continue to hold a 30% stake. The company has now been renamed Velan ABV ENERGY S.P.A., and Mr. Luca Marianetti will continue to serve as the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Willan Company used its cash resources to carry out this acquisition, but the specific details were not disclosed. ABV Company manufactures valves in accordance with API6D and 6A standards. Its product line includes pipeline ball valves, emergency shut-off valves, highly integrated pressure protection systems (HIPPS), subsea ball valves, control ball valves, diverter valves, modular two-way double-relief valves, flat gate valves, throttle valves, and axial (nozzle) check valves. In addition, the company also manufactures pneumatic and hydraulic actuators, including pneumohydraulic actuators. ABV Company is currently expanding its factory by 5,000 square meters to increase production capacity. The expansion project also includes investing in machinery and equipment to optimize the layout and production processes in the assembly workshop and testing center.
