In the endothermic furnace-generated semi-water gas, the carbon dioxide content is 20-21%; is pre-decarbonization necessary before the shift reaction in order to reduce the steam consumption for this reaction?
Although pre-decarburization can lower the conversion steam (theoretically), adding a decarburization unit incurs high costs as well.
Reply to 2# Luo Hu 15185080221: Yes, if pressure swing adsorption is used for pre-decarbonization, there will still be losses of CO and H2R, so it may not be cost-effective
I don’t appreciate the Endu furnace; firstly, its gas composition is not ideal, and secondly, its energy consumption is too high.
Reply to 4# Chemical gas purification: Gas is mainly produced using lignite as raw material, and the test results show that the Endler furnace operates fairly stably.
There is absolutely no need to add pre-decarbonization; firstly, it requires large investments, and secondly, it makes the process more complex.
