Dear colleagues, does anyone know anything about instruments for dust explosion protection? I have some questions and would appreciate it if you could help answer them. Dust explosion protection is achieved by controlling surface temperature and preventing dust from entering the system. On the E+H catalogs, some specifications related to dust explosion protection are indicated as ATE*I 1/3 D; I wonder whether it’s necessary to specify the temperature category as well. Are there also explosion protection methods such as intrinsically safe and flameproofing for dust explosion prevention? Thank you
Refer to GB 3836.1-2010 and GB 12476.1~7. The new national standards for dust explosion protection classify devices into: intrinsically safe type (iD), encased protection type (tD), positive pressure explosion protection type (pD), and encapsulated type (mD). The notation used in the new standards is: E*D IIIC T Db, where IIIC denotes the dust type – IIIA for flammable fibers, IIIB for flammable non-conductive dusts, and IIIC for flammable conductive dusts. T indicates the temperature rating, followed by the actual temperature value; Db represents the device category, along with Da and Dc

For dust explosion prevention, it is necessary to indicate the temperature category; this is the standard practice. Additionally, the temperature category is not indicated using T1–T6, but rather the actual temperature is stated directly, such as T 130℃.
