Due to the continuous increase in production load at our factory, the operating load on the air compressor inlet filter becomes excessive, resulting in large pressure differential fluctuations; this necessitates frequent replacement of the internal filter elements. Now, we consider finding new filter element components to improve this situation. I hope experienced sea friends can provide some information. Is the filter clogged, or should the filtering area be increased? It’s likely that the pressure drop is too high, resulting in a slow flow rate in the pipeline
There are many manufacturers of filters in Bengbu, and their products are quite good; just search online!
Reply to 2# — Lantian — The first option being considered at the moment is to see if it’s possible to find new filter elements with specifications identical to those we are currently using, and that can achieve an air flow rate of 4000 m3/h, in order to replace the current filter elements. If it cannot be found, it’s like redesigning a new filter.
If the structure of the air compressor can be modified, extend the inlet and then increase the filtering area.
Reply to 5# sunyu_98: The preferred option at the moment is to find a suitable filter element to replace the existing one. If improvement is not possible, then considering the replacement of the filter is the only option.
Replacing the filter element probably won’t solve the problem; the main issue is poor air quality – too many impurities that clog the filter. The purpose of a filter element is precisely to capture these impurities. Should we then use a filter element that doesn’t capture impurities? Increasing the filtering area should help reduce the frequency of filter element replacements; it would also be beneficial to improve the air quality around the factory, by raising the height of the air intake towers and using air from higher altitudes, which can yield good results as well.
