Our circulating water main is DN2000 in diameter; after that it splits into two branches, one with a diameter of DN1600 and the other with a diameter of DN1400. The DN1600 and DN1400 pipes are on the same straight line – how should they be connected? How to change the diameter?
DN1600 reduces in diameter on the DN2000 pipe, while DN1400 has a welded fitting on the DN2000 pipe.
Use pipe connectors. This technology is mature, and cases have been implemented for pipelines with a diameter of DN 5000. It can address issues such as diameter changes in large and small pipes, axial displacement due to thermal expansion and contraction, and tilt compensation caused by settlement.
