Seeking help from colleagues in the formaldehyde industry

Our company uses silver catalysts to produce formaldehyde, and problems arise every time the mixture filter is replaced. Shortly after starting the vehicle (sometimes within a day, sometimes after several days; the time varies), the area around the catalyst turns black, which means the catalyst has lost its effectiveness. This leads to an increase in the levels of formic acid and methanol. Generally, this situation occurs due to leaks in the oxidation furnace or catalyst poisoning. I suspect that poor quality of methanol is the most likely cause of catalyst poisoning. Interestingly, in the eight years since the plant was built, this problem has occurred four times, and each time it happened after replacing the air-fuel mixture filter. In total, the filter has been replaced five times, and the problem did not occur once during those replacements. In the previous few instances, it improved after driving back and forth several times, and no problem was identified I wonder if any colleagues have encountered the same situation as me, and how did they resolve it?
