It’s normal for the thermocouples in the gasification furnace to get damaged; they wear out after a short period of use, often right after the furnace starts operating. In terms of operation, one can only rely on parameters such as the oxygen-to-coal ratio, the composition of the syngas, the amount of coarse slag, and the pressure difference at the slag outlet to make judgments. The main temperature of the vaporizer is itself a reference value; why not take it into consideration during installation?
