Desk potato – Guess what it means, guys. Those of us in the online community should be quite familiar with it.
In English, those who spend their days lying on the sofa watching TV and not moving around are called couch potatoes. Since the advent of the Internet, a considerable number of people have given up their role as couch potatoes and joined the ranks of desk potatoes. A desk potato is someone who sits at a desk all day long but gets little to nothing done – usually because of surfing the internet or playing computer games. The term is derived from couch potato. A desk potato refers to someone who sits by their desk throughout the day without completing any tasks, typically because they spend their time browsing the internet or playing games.
