The air compression pipelines in our facility are designed to be quite long, and compressed air is used intermittently; as a result, the pipes tend to freeze in winter, leading to blockages. What measures would be effective to address this issue?
Reply to 1# SHAOJIAZHENG: Install a refrigerated dryer and an adsorption dryer; by removing moisture, freezing will be prevented. Alternatively, install a regular drainage valve at the lowest point – an automatic one would be ideal.
During the compression of air, it is inevitable that water vapor turns into a liquid due to the increase in pressure. If the compressed air in your factory is used as power air, installing a few drain valves will suffice; if it is used for instrument air, it needs to be deoiled and dried before use.
