People often talk about implementing comprehensive maintenance management and preventive maintenance, but it’s difficult to do so in practice. I’ve worked at 4 companies, and in all of them there were no such things as charts outlining the five key aspects of equipment lubrication. I hope someone from a company that does have such charts can share them so that mechanics and production staff can use them as a guide to carry out their tasks effectively.
The so-called five principles of lubrication are: fixed time, fixed location, fixed quantity, fixed person, and fixed quality. A corresponding table can be created based on the actual situation, including details such as equipment name, tag number, lubrication points, type of oil, quantity, refueling interval, oil change interval, responsible person, and so on.
Five fixes and three filtrations – this is a question that is always asked in our unit’s exams for new employees to become full-time staff.
