Comparison of gasification methods and their advantages and disadvantages? Discussions are held on different types of gasification furnaces, as well as their future development prospects and which process is more mature.

The current gasification methods are all imperfect and lack promising prospects: 1. BGL: Yunjiehua claims to have mastered BGL technology and has filed patents for it; the BGL furnace that has been put into operation performs well. Then why did Datang and Qinghua choose the Lurgi furnace with solid slag discharge for their hundreds of pressurized fixed-bed furnaces? The inability of BGL to use coal ash is also a fatal drawback ; 2. Fluidized bed: Although coal water slurry, dry pulverized coal, and the like can use pulverized coal, they have three major drawbacks that prevent them from having a brighter future: a) The investment required for coal preparation and transportation systems, as well as the energy consumption and operational control issues, are all quite unsatisfactory ; b, the oxygen and coal consumption per unit of CO+H2 is too high ; c. The requirements for coal quality are also very high ; 3. Fluidized bed: Although fluidized beds can use pulverized coal and require simple coal preparation, their oxygen and coal consumption per unit of CO+H2 produced is too high. Since the gasification temperature is below the ash melting point, the steam decomposition rate is low; therefore, this method can only be used with coals that have high reactivity, which is a drawback that is difficult to accept ; 3. Slag gasification: The oxygen and coal consumption per unit of CO+H2 produced in slag gasification is too high, which is also one of the unacceptable drawbacks ; 4. Luchi pressure gasification: Only lump coal, or lump coal with a ash melting point greater than 1200 degrees, can be used; it features a low steam decomposition rate and generates a large amount of wastewater ; These shortcomings are really too obvious ;
