Has anyone used a steam trap tester? Please recommend a brand.
I work in the field of TLV testing. To be objective about my products, there are two types of TLV detectors. One is portable; the accuracy of the data it provides is fairly good, but it’s not possible to quantify the values. The other model is called TM5 – it’s the only instrument in the world that has been certified by a third party (Lloyd’s). This instrument creates a database based on destructive tests conducted on check valves from around the world under different pressures, and the data it generates can be quantified and cannot be altered. However, this instrument is not available for sale to the public; it’s used solely to serve customers. I know that companies like Armstrong and Gongxie also have products similar to the first type, but I’m not sure about their accuracy levels, so I wouldn’t want to make any claims regarding them
