Total tower pressure drop in kPa ; 4. Leakage rate % ; 5. Mist entrainment fraction % ; 6. Tray opening percentage % ; 7. Downcomer area in m2 ; 8. Material of the defoaming screen ; 9. Diameter of defoaming wire in mm ; 10. Thickness of the defoaming mesh in mm ; 11. Valve orifice gas velocity m/s ; 12. Number of valves per tray ; 13. Gap at the bottom of the liquid drop plate, in mm ; 14. Bottom gap flow velocity of the liquid drop plate, m/s ; 15. Liquid residence time s ; 16. Tray data (tray type, tray thickness, floating valve thickness, valve size, and weight) ; 17. Weight of internal components (weight of movable parts, weight of welded parts). The owner or the design institute can specify the materials for internal components such as trays and valves. The above are the comparison items I used when conducting technical comparisons of tower internals in the past.
