The distillation tower separates propane, n-butane, and n-pentane. Which one is the light component and which one is the heavy component, and why? Is the distillation column in multi-component distillation one that has only a distillation section and no stripping section?
Light components and heavy components are sorted by their boiling points; just look them up and you’ll have the answer. A distillation column for multi-component distillation has both a distillation section and a stripping section.
