Dear colleagues, we are planning to introduce a new coal-to-methanol production system, and I would like to ask for your input regarding the measurement of the flow rates of black water and gray water. I’ve heard that wedge flow meters can cause severe wear in many devices, leading to inaccurate measurements or even leaks. I’m interested in hearing any experience you may have on this topic; please feel free to share your thoughts. I also plan to go and inspect these systems in person. Thank you!

Are there any specifications regarding the size of the pressure tapping tube for blackwater flowmeters?
We use a venturi flow meter; it’s been in use for 3 years and it’s still working fine!
