Recently, we noticed that the trays in our benzene removal tower had fallen off, but the benzene content in the lean oil remained unchanged. May I ask, experts, is there any relationship between the falling off of the trays and the quality of the wash oil?
It could be strong vibrations or loose connection bolts that caused the tray to fall off; stop the machine for inspection!

It’s likely due to vibration, corrosion, or installation issues. The fact that the benzene content in the lean oil hasn’t changed is temporary; since the design capacity is high, not many trays have been lost, so the impact on the benzene content in the lean oil has not yet become apparent.
Your plant has been in use for a few years now; it’s probably due to vibration or installation issues. In my plant, the falling of the regenerator trays was caused by installation problems. Is the benzene content in the lean oil not high because you are using too much steam?
