Currently, axial flow compressors produced by Shaanxi Gas Turbine Group are used as main fans in catalytic units. Oil is leaking from the bearing areas of these compressors, and various solutions have been tried without success. Has anyone encountered such a problem? Could you please share how you managed to seal it? Basically, the issue is that the opening in the casing isn’t sealed properly, which causes oil leakage ; There is also a leakage from within the shielding layer of the thermal resistor; I’m not sure what’s causing it. Could someone please advise me on how to achieve this kind of sealing?
We all use 704 adhesive for sealing; for thermal resistance openings and those subject to vibration, if the opening is at the top, just apply a little of the adhesive there. If the opening is at the bottom, it’s necessary to fill it with some flexible material mixed with 704 in order to achieve proper sealing. We sealed 704 by applying clean cotton yarn. The effect is okay.
The thermal resistance sleeve must be leaking. Using 704 glue isn’t effective, as there is still some pressure from the lubricating oil inside the machine; when the machine is running, the glue gets washed away by the oil right away
It seems like the oil is leaking out from the shielding layer of the embedded thermistor.
