Is the author referring to compressors of the 4MSG type? Our factory also uses compressors of this brand, and they have several advantages. 1. First of all, its rotor assembly has excellent vibration performance; it generally works without issues for 5 to 10 years. The vibration caused by bending of the rotor blades is usually very low. In our factory, when rotor vibration increases, it generally means that the impeller needs to be replaced. 2. The manual is very good; the list of spare parts is clear and quite satisfactory. 3. It’s quite durable and reliable; it handles situations involving frequent starting and stopping without much problem. At most, there might be some wear on the lower part of the rotor bearings. Under normal operating conditions, there’s no need to open it for maintenance within 5 years. 4. Its spare parts are well protected against rust, so they should remain problem-free for around 10 years. Unlike some others, it’s generally quite good. However, there is one issue that’s really troublesome: if it has inter-stage gas seals of the labyrinth type, it’s very difficult to remove them – one has to use a sledgehammer or resort to destructive methods. None of those machines are perfect; COOPER’s larger models are quite good. I wonder if they have ever sold any of their PET blow molding centrifuges
