A small question about transformations

Transformations can be full transformations or partial transformations; how is the transformation rate adjusted?
It seems that adjustment can only be done through the converter bypass, right?

The client would like to explain the design for changing the working section. The processes used by different design firms vary; most of them include a bypass system for adjusting flow rates, and there is also one that allows for adjusting the inlet temperature.
