Everyone, has anyone in the company used online pH meters? Which brands are good, both domestically and internationally? I’d like to recommend a few companies; our company needs online pH meters for measuring pH values in the context of process upgrades. I’m not very familiar with it yet

We have been using online pH meters from German manufacturer Mettler, and their performance has been generally good. We have also used domestic models such those from Yantai Zhaoyuan, but their performance was not satisfactory; now they are only used in relatively clean circulating water systems. pH meters have certain requirements regarding the presence of organic substances, scaling or paste-like substances (which can contaminate the electrodes), and the presence of sulfides; these factors should be taken into account when selecting a pH meter.
Mettler Toledo’s are good
We use Mettler-Toledo instruments, but the secondary meters are not very accurate in transmitting signals. I heard that such meters were replaced free of charge in other factories, but we weren’t given new ones. In fact, the \"Hamilton\" models are actually manufactured under Mettler’s brand; they are cheaper and function exactly the same way. A supplier showed me some of these meters, and we have ordered batches of their electrodes for use as spare parts – they can be used as substitutes without any problem. Same accurate measurement, lower price. By the way, OP, I’m not trying to sell anything to you; it’s up to you to decide which one to choose. E+H also offers them – they are gel electrodes, which is also a good option, and they’re cheaper

Temperature is related to the service life when selecting a probe. In media with high turbidity, the probe electrodes are prone to contamination, so cleaning devices or other special methods need to be considered. PS: In some environments, it’s difficult to find suitable online pH detectors; they are extremely expensive and of poor quality. Special attention should be paid when making the selection. In pure water and deionized water with low conductivity, the electrodes are prone to salt bridge blockage; therefore, probes designed for pure water, split-type probes, or specialized instruments are required. Additionally, it should be noted that no matter how good a pH meter is, it needs to be calibrated regularly (refer to the instructions); do not neglect this after putting it into use.
