Will the use of an ultrasonic flow meter cause cavitation in the water within the pipe section? Is it necessary to add an exhaust valve after the flow meter?
As far as I know, it should not cause cavitation. This claim has no theoretical basis. There is also no need to install any vent valve behind the flow meter; it is required that the pipeline operate at full capacity.
The power isn’t high, so it won’t happen. Even if there is, it’s a liquid-vapor-liquid transition, which is no problem.
