During the operation of the reciprocating compressor (three-stage compression of fresh hydrogen), the liquid level in the three-stage inlet separator tank suddenly rose. It was checked that the water cooler before the separator tank was in good condition and there was no internal leakage; are there any other reasons that could cause the rise in the liquid level of the separator tank? If liquid hydrocarbons are extracted from the liquid level gauge, where do they come from? Meanwhile, during the operation of the compressor, this liquid level panel experiences relatively noticeable vibrations. Could everyone please analyze this?
If the raw material contains too much water or excessive amounts of compressible light hydrocarbon components, this can lead to an increase in liquid level; vibration of the panel may occur due to resonance, and adjusting the compressor’s frequency will resolve this issue…

Since there is no liquid level in the secondary inlet separation tank, this indicates that gaseous hydrocarbons are present in the hydrogen gas. After secondary compression, the increased pressure causes these gaseous hydrocarbons to liquefy and accumulate in the tertiary inlet separation tank. Additionally, the liquid in the liquid level surface of the tertiary inlet separation tank will vaporize at that moment! So, we need to consider the hydrogen source!
