We are currently working on the design of crude oil pipelines for a port with a capacity of 300,000 tons. The storage area requires the installation of ball receiving and sending cylinders (DN1100) at the port. Due to structural stress considerations, bellows compensators are used in the oil transfer pipelines. I wonder whether the installation of these bellows compensators will affect the operation of receiving and sending balls I seek advice from those who are more knowledgeable!
In the case of a bellows compensator with a guide tube, it is likely not to affect the server.
Bellows compensators have a direction of use, so they must not be purged in the reverse direction during cleaning, to prevent weld slag, metal shavings, and similar substances from entering the bellows
