Hello, respected seniors. I would like to ask you all for some advice. Regarding our company’s 6000 nm³ nitrogen generator, the outlet pressure of the expander is 6.5 bar higher than usual. Previously, when our company’s equipment was in operation, the pressure was always around 5 bar. But the day before yesterday, when I went to work, it suddenly increased in value, yet all the other parameters were still within the normal range. What about the cold tower liquid level, and the inlet and outlet at the compression side? The inlet pressures at the expansion ends are all within the normal range. I initially suspect that the expander is filled with liquid. But it was rejected by seniors from other companies. I would like to ask the teachers here to verify what the situation is. Please provide a detailed explanation if you know it. I am extremely grateful~~~~
Check whether there is any leakage at the seal between the diffuser and the volute; if it is an internal leakage, the outlet pressure will rise again and the efficiency of the expander will decrease
1. Is the statement “The outlet pressure of the expander in the nitrogen generator is 6.5 bar higher than usual” incorrect? Does it mean that the outlet pressure reaches 6.5 bar? 2. Compared with previous data, if there are no significant changes in the relevant parameters, should instrument issues be considered first? 3. If the relevant parameters do change as well, has the actual valve position changed? Throw a brick~

The back pressure is high; there might be a blockage in the subsequent system

The outlet pressure is related to the pressure inside your tower; it is influenced by the pressure in the upper tower (or the lower tower). If the pressure in the subsequent system is high, then the outlet pressure of the expander will also be high. 3. It’s probably a problem with the instrument; I can’t think of any other reason.
