Paint issues on the equipment surface

I have a question for everyone: when designing equipment, should specific requirements be specified regarding surface painting? If the drawings do not mention this, what guidelines does the manufacturing plant use to determine how to treat the surface of carbon steel equipment with paint? (In our factory, for cases where no specific requirements are specified for the drawings: we apply 2 coats of rust-red primer, 1 coat of gray topcoat (without insulation), and 1 coat of gray topcoat (with insulation). I wonder how everyone handles such situations?
If no specific requirements are provided in the patterns or technical documents supplied by the client, we follow our factory’s painting procedures; if the client has relevant requirements, then we adhere to those specified by the client or the designer.
Poster, your primer is really poor quality – it’s only suitable for use on basic formwork. Your company’s design or production department should establish rules regarding painting (based on operating temperature and whether insulation is used)
